LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We respectfully acknowledge that BARAGA is located on the unceded, ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Peoples.

These Nations have stewarded the lands and waters of what is now known as Burnaby since time immemorial. As we gather to cultivate and care for this garden, we recognize that growing food, sharing knowledge, and building community are practices with deep roots on these territories. We are grateful for the opportunity to tend to the land and invite all who visit to reflect on our responsibilities as guests here.

We encourage you to learn more about the Host Nations whose histories, cultures, and traditional ecological knowledge continue to shape this place today.
REMINDERS
WEDNESDAYS ARE FOODBANK DAY
June to October: Please donate extra fruits & veggies to the foodbank. Please leave your produce in the bins Wednesday morning before 11 or Tuesday evening
WORK PARTIES
There are work parties most 2nd Saturdays of the month . Check the Bulletins or sign at the front gate
PLOT INSPECTIONS
There are plot inspections most 1st Saturdays of the month . Keep your plot tidy and compliant with the rules!
COMPOST IS NOT GARBAGE!
Please keep our compost piles clean by depositing garbage in the dumpster in the main parking lot.
